Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying, substantiating and analyzing the factors of effectiveness growth of the production potential of the regional food and processing industry. This approach was carried out on the basis of the deterministic factor analysis of the innovation-investment attractiveness index developed by the author. The following indices are allocated as factors of effectiveness growth: increase in qualitative characteristics and quantity of the innovative goods; increased costs for technological innovation; increase in investment flows, including in the fixed capital of producers; an increase in the specific share of output (including innovation) per one  ruble of investment in fixed assets. At the same time, one of the reserves of using the identified factors for increasing the efficiency of the production potential is to overcome the interregional differences in the development of the food and processing industries. Practical application of the methodology is reflected in the analysis of processes occurring in the food and processing industry in the Saratov region and the Volga Federal District.
