ECONOMIC AND STATISTICAL FACTORS OF MONETARY POVERTY OF URBAN AND AGRICULTURAL HOUSEHOLDS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
Income and household size are considered as factors of monetary poverty in various methods of its assessment. The article describes three approaches to understanding and calculating poverty - absolute, relative and deprivation. The tendency of their further development at the present stage of development of statistical observations in Russia and Europe towards integration within the framework of the concept of "multidimensional poverty" is shown. Results of calculations of the socio-demographic structure of poverty and the risks of poverty for individual socio-demographic groups, obtained by the "simple" and "weighted" methods are compared. It is shown that when using the weighted methodology, the significance of household size as a factor in monetary poverty decreases, and average per capita income becomes the leading factor affecting poverty.
