PROBLEMS OF FORMATION OF THE BALANCED STRUCTURE OF MEAT PRODUCTION CHAIN
Abstract
The article reveals the trends and peculiarities of the development of the meat and food chain of the agro-food complex of Russia, taking into account the changes in the basic conditions for the formation of the food market. It is concluded that at the present stage of development the chain is a complex and heterogeneous system. An imbalance in the production and consumption of the main types of meat and meat products has been revealed. The high level of market saturation with meat, especially poultry meat, creates conditions for tough competition. The necessity of changes in the methods of state regulation is substantiated. Support for food exports should become one of the priorities of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Foodstuffs for 2013-2020.
