PROSPECTS FOR GROWTH OF COMPETITIVENESS OF THE RUSSIAN AGRO-FOOD COMPLEX ON THE BASIS OF DEEPENING THE INTEGRATION OF COUNTRIES OF EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION
Abstract
The development of integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union creates opportunities and conditions for increasing the competitiveness of the agro-food complex. As a result of the study, it was made an assessment of the foreign trade dynamics of the EEU member states in agricultural products and foodstuffs, their impact on the self-sufficiency and food security of the EEU countries, the growth of competitiveness of the agricultural sector. The necessity of the structural modernization of the food industry complex of Russia, taking into account the features of the integration processes in the EEU, is substantiated. Deepening industrial cooperation and integration in the EEU space should become one of the priorities of the strategy for the development of the agro-food complex of Russia.
