DETERMINATION OF COMPETITIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRIES IN THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN ECONOMIC ASSOCIATIONS

Abstract

The paper presents a study aimed at identifying patterns of agricultural development in the EEU member states using the methodology for assessing competitiveness in the framework of an integration association. The grain market was chosen as the object of factor analysis as the most competitive. Since the main producers of grain and products of its processing are Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, the products of these countries are selected as the object of the correlation and regression analysis of competitive factors. The analysis of the price factor was carried out using statistical data on various types of prices, as well as the analysis of production and export volume factors directly correlated with prices. Using the methods of correlation and regression analysis, the strength and directionality of the influence of price and non-price factors on the competitiveness of wheat in each of the selected EEU countries was evaluated. The obtained and presented regression equation allows us to express the relationship between the export of wheat, as well as the gross yield, the prices of the domestic producer and export prices.
