PERSPECTIVES OF DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC MECHANISMS OF REALIZATION OF ECOLOGICAL PRIORITIES OF FOOD PRODUCTION

Abstract

The beginning transformation of the world and domestic food product markets requires not only a change in the economic mechanisms for regulating the agro-food complex, but also the arrangement  of conditions for stimulating the greening of food production. The aim of this work is to substantiate the directions for improving the economic mechanism for implementing environmental priorities of the innovative development of the production potential of the agro-industrial complex, taking into account the experience of implementing the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union, which reinforces the importance of economic instruments to promote environmental sustainability and combat climate change. It was proposed to supplement the state program of the Russian Federation “Integrated Development of Rural Territories” with the “Preservation and Creation of a Healthy Environment” subprogramme. As one of the key activities of the subprogramme, it is proposed to highlight the development and implementation of pilot projects for the creation of buffer zones along the banks of rivers in regions experiencing high environmental pressure and capable of co-financing such projects.
