CURRENT TRENDS IN RESEARCH OF PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL FOOD SYSTEMS (ON THE MATERIALS OF FORUMS OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of materials of foreign forums of 2020 on agricultural topics. It is shown how the theme of the symposia reflects a wide range of problems in the development of agri-food systems in the face of global challenges and constraints. The author places particular emphasis on the study of events held within the framework of the International and European Associations of Agricultural Economists (IAAE and EAAE), and the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA). Based on the analysis, modern trends of research on the problems of the development of the agri-food complex and rural areas are highlighted. It has been revealed that the most promising areas of research are  experimental economics and system dynamics. The necessity of expanding the use of quantitative equilibrium methods is shown.
