MAIN TRENDS OF THE DYNAMICS OF WORLD FOOD PRICES
Abstract
The article examines the dynamics of world prices and their impact on the level and structure of domestic food prices. The forecast of the dynamics of world prices for wheat and barley until 2024 is carried out. The article examines new factors in the growth of food prices during the coronavirus crisis: a break in the emerging intersectoral links in food chains, acceleration of inflation. The results of the study of the dynamics of export and import supplies of dairy products to Russia are presented. The reasons for the growth in the export of dairy products in Russia have been identified. Changes in the level and structure of costs and profitability of a business against the background of ruble devaluation are investigated. The necessity of managing the structure of costs to mitigate the influence of factors of growth in food prices is substantiated. Measures are proposed to optimize the costs and expenses of companies at the present stage.
