METHODOLOGY OF RESEARCH OF RESOURCE POTENTIAL EFFICIENCY IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION
Abstract
The article presents methodological approaches to the study of the concept of the effectiveness of using the resource potential in agricultural production. On the basis of theoretical concepts of the resource potential as a set of resources, two methods for determining the effectiveness of resource use in agricultural production are justified. They are cost and resource. In accordance with the cost method, efficiency is calculated as the ratio of the output of production and the cost (expenditure) of resources. According to the resource method, efficiency is calculated as the ratio of the output of production and the availability (stocks) of resources. It is concluded that the increase in the efficiency of using the resource potential is achieved either by reducing the cost of resources for the production per a production unit, or by increasing the productivity of resources, which will increase output per unit of resource costs. In the concluding part of the article the author singled out the main directions for increasing the efficiency of using the resource potential of agrarian production.
