Abstract

The article presents an overview of the reports of the participants of the All-Russian scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first director of the Institute of Agrarian Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, doctor of historical sciences, Professor V.B. Ostrovsky: “Social and economic problems of sustainable development of the agro-food complex in the context of new global challenges”, held by the Institute of Agrarian Problems - Subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Research Institution Saratov Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences on October 29, 2024. The main goal of the conference is to scientifically substantiate the trends and risks of sustainable development of the agro-food complex and rural areas of the Russian Federation in the context of increasing destabilizing factors.
