Influence of infrastructure equipment of rural territories on the development of the rural settlement system under new global challenges
Abstract
The relevance of studying the influence of the infrastructural development of rural areas of Russia on the preservation and development of the rural settlement system is due to increased global challenges, as well as conditions of growing socio-economic instability. The system of settlement of rural areas is characterized by processes of compression of populated and developed space, development of suburban areas, gravitation towards zones of influence of agglomerations and insufficiency of modern infrastructure. The rural population continues to concentrate in larger population centers.
