TRANSFORMATION OF DEVELOPMENT MODELS OF THE RUSSIAN MEAT PRODUCTS SUB-COMPLEX UNDER SANCTIONS RESTRICTIONS

Abstract

The study of adaptation of enterprises of the Russian agri-food complex to changes in the conditions of their functioning caused by sanctions restrictions is very relevant. The article analyzes the consequences of economic and political sanctions imposed against Russia by Western countries for the development of the national agri-food complex. The specifics of the development of food chains and the heterogeneity of segments of the agri-food complex determine the development models of agri-food enterprises under conditions of destabilizing factors and restrictions. Using the example of the Miratorg agro-industrial holding, positive and negative aspects of the sanctions policy are identified, and the resilience of Russian agribusiness to external challenges and threats is assessed. It is concluded that one of the promising directions for the development of the Russian meat products subcomplex is the formation of vertically integrated enterprises.
