Abstract
The article presents an overview of the reports of the participants of the All-Russian scientific conference "Peculiarities of sustainable development of the Russian agri-food complex in the face of new global challenges", held by the Institute of Agrarian - Subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Research Institution Saratov Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences in October this year. The main goal of the conference organizers was an attempt to draw the attention of the widest range of researchers to the problems of ensuring sustainable growth in the competitiveness of the Russian agri-food complex, developing its production potential and institutional environment. A separate block of questions was singled out to discuss priority areas for increasing the sustainability of rural development in the face of increased global instability.
